Rationale:
I chose to put my immersion assignment paper in my e-portfolio. I feel that this paper shows culturally competent evidence-based practice skills that are adaptable to meet the needs of individuals and groups with diverse backgrounds by utilizing understandable language and multi-culturally sensitive communication skills. This assignment was completed my junior year in the Social Work BSW program at UTC. I feel that this is the best paper to portray the appropriate objectives stated.
I learned a lot from doing this assignment with my classmates. This project demanded a lot of trust in one another because we all had our own section of the project to do. This paper also demanded that we had good communication between one another. I learned a lot from this project not only from the material but from my classmates. This assignment helped me grow as an individual by allowing me to work with diverse backgrouds.
